Another beauty vlogger and major company collaborates yet again. Only this time it is not a cosmetics company is a fashion company. Youtuber Carli Bybel and Miss Guided collaborate and created a limited edition collection with 50 summer pieces filled with pastels like pink, mint green, white, nudes and more. Last year the beauty and fashion guru teamed up with BH Cosmetics and launched her Carli Bybel Palette and now she has collaborated with Miss Guided. Now her collection is limited edition for this summer only, so you might want to go ahead and get your greedy little hands on the collection right now. Carli did post a video giving us a teaser of her fabulous collection. Miss Guided is already known for having one of a kind, affordable pieces, but Carli made sure that she created this collection with love and passion. I took a peak at the collection and it is so chic and amazing. ESPYs Red Carpet Glam

Last night the ESPY’s went down and it was epic, per usual. The ESPY’s are basically the Grammy’s of sports. Last night our favorite athletes and their wives slayed the red carpet last night. Let’s not waste any time with the small talk and get started.

Ayesha Curry gave us body last night in a maroon lace, high-low dress and nude pumps, while her hubby Steph Curry wore a navy blue velvet blazer.

Actress Gabrielle Union slayed in a long-sleeve, black lace, see-through August Getty gown with bodysuit underneath with her boo thang Dwayne Wade.

Newlyweds Ciara and Russell Wilson made their first red carpet appearance since they tied the knot about two weeks ago. Ciara wore a baby pink Roberto Cavalli gown with a sequin bodice with a plunging neckline.

Lindsey Vonn looked amazing and chic. She sported a Michael Costello jumpsuit with sequin pants and black cape.

Jordan Clarkson from the LA Laker cleaned up really nice last night in pin striped suit. I think I have a small crush on him.

Lil Kim Hip Hop Honors Tribute

If you did not watch the Hip Hop Honors last night, then you were hiding under a rock. Last Vh1 honored Queen Latifah, Salt-n-Pepa and Spinderella, Missy Elliot, and Lil Kim after a six-year hiatus. The show was completely epic, and one of the most epic moments was the Lil Kim tribute. Lil Kim celebrated her 42^nd birthday being honored as one of the hottest females MC’s in the game with raunchy lyrics and risk taking style. Dej Loaf and Lil Mama performed “Crush On You” wearing similar looks from the colorful video. Teyanna Taylor was the highlight of the show as she performed “No Time” wearing a leopard bikini and leopard cover up with red feathers. She was then joined by French Montana and the The Lox for “All About the Benjamin’s” wearing a black double split dress with blonde wig and black boots. I knew something was up when Teyanna Taylor walked the red carpet with a curly yellow wig. Teyanna really studied Lil Kim’s mannerisms, looks, personality, and performance style. She was so lit that when the performance was over she through that wig off honey and still slayed. There was also a fashion show featuring supermodels Winnie Harlow and Jessica White.

7 Style Tips for Fashionistas

A lot people believe that it is expensive to be fashionable, not true. A lot of people believe that being fashionable means perfection, not true. There are so many myths that people believe about fashion that is just completely absurd. The key, is that some of our fellow fashionista are able to manage. Here are some helpful habits and tricks to help you look polished and confident. It’s not about having a bunch of clothes or paying your rent money on a pair of Giuseppe’s. It all starts with you and what you have at home. Allow me to help you.

1. Plan your outfit the night before. This is just essential to everyday life. This gives you time to be creative and put different things together to create a completely new outfit.
2. Proper undergarments are essential. You can have the perfect outfit, but if you do not have the right undergarments it can all fall apart. Think of under garments as the foundation of your outfit.
3. Look at other fashionistas for tips and ideas. I’m sure all of you have an Instagram account. Follow different fashion blogs or accounts to give you different ideas.
4. Wear clothes that fit. This is very important because what will look right on you might not be a fit for me.
5. Have a statement piece. Every outfits needs to have a “wow factor”. The “WOW factor” can be your makeup look or your shoes. The choice is yours.
6. Take care of your clothes. That’s just simply good hygiene. Wash and iron your clothes, the dusty look is not cute
7. Have an all-purpose item. This should be your go-to, emergency fit. You should have all-purpose shoes, dresses, tops, and skirt. You want to wear these items to work then happy hour.

The Get Down Coming to Netflix This Summer

You now have a chance to find out why your parents felt growing up in the 70’s was so cool. Netflix has announced a new show, The Get Down, which chronicles the lives of some teenage friends during the mid-1970s in the Bronx.

The Get Down is described as a coming-of-age story set during a time when New York City was near bankruptcy. A trailer for the show does not include much dialogue, but you get a sense of adventure, drama, disco and hip hop, and friendship.

The project is under the direction of Baz Luhtmann (Moulin Rouge!, Romeo+Juliet) and Nas has signed on as an executive producer and created music for the series. The Queensbridge rapper is not the only hip hop artist working on the show, DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrika Bambaataa also collaborated. The show is highly anticipated and has a solid cast including: Jimmy Smiths, Shamiek Moore (Dope), Jaden Smith, and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad).

The show creators hope to add to Netflix’s winning streak of hit shows such as: Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards. Netflix is trying something new with this series by airing the first half starting August 12^th and the second half of the season scheduled to be released sometime in 2017.

Beyoncé’s BET Surprise

Everyone who knows me is aware of my unconditional love for Beyoncé, I am a loyal fan. Last night she blew me away and gave me my entire life when she surprised us at the 2016 BET Awards when she opened the show performing her powerful hit “Freedom” with one of the greatest rappers, Kendrick Lamar. Throughout the week there were speculations on whether she would attend the show or not, but on the red carpet her Formation dancers shut it down making a grand entrance to the show, which left everyone lit with anticipation. The Queen wore a black lace leotard with fringe sleeves, and braids paying tribute to her African roots. The last time we saw Beyoncé at the BET Awards was in 2012 where she did not perform, but she did win awards with her hubby, Jay-Z. That last time she was physically on the BET stage was in 2009. Let’s take a look at her past BET Awards performance looks.

Here is Beyoncé in 2003 in her first solo performance on the BET stage performing “Crazy in Love” with her boo Jay.

Beyoncé showed us she was all woman in her final BET performance with Destiny’s Child wearing a neutral tone dress hugging her curves as Terrence Howard was receiving his life.

In 2006 she performed Déjà vu as the show opener wearing a silver two piece and Diana Ross hair.

She performed “Get Me Bodied” in 2007 wearing a two-piece gold metal outfit like a robot.
