It’s been a long week and you are anxious to unwind. Here are some pampering ideas that are sure to help you press the reset button.
Light some candles:
Enjoy some aroma therapy with your favorite scents. Statistics even show that certain smells ignite certain chemical reactions within the nervous system. For instance, Lavender has been known for its calming and relaxing effects on the body, making it a perfect scent for the ultimate pampering experience. Grab a couple of your favorite candles or incense and let the sparks fly.
Enjoy a bubble bath:
Nothing says unwind like a steaming hot bubble bath. If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can even pour in some of your favorite bath salts and oils. Grab a book or listen to some music while you soak. This would even be the perfect excuse to open that bottle of red wine you bought yesterday.
Work it out:
A part of treating yourself is giving your body what it needs, which includes exercise. Enjoy a 20-30 minute sweat session followed by lots of stretching. Once those endorphins begin to kick in, you’ll be glad that you did.
There isn’t much science behind this one. Chocolate makes everything better. Grab it…eat it….be happy.
De-stress by carving out a day in your busy week to watch as many movies as humanly possible. All you will need is some junk food and an active Netflix account. Laugh, cry, and snack your way into a state of bliss.
