The Selma director is the not only the first woman, but the first black woman to direct any Marvel film (Patty Jenkins backed out of director Thor: The Dark World)! The film is about Black Panther, the first black superhero in American comic books and the upcoming film will be the first time Marvel has portrayed a black superhero in a movie.

Chadwick Boseman, who is known for his amazing portrayal of James Brown in Get on Up  is set to play Black Panther in the feature film.
