Actress Amanda Bynes will indeed stay under the conservatorship of her mother, Lynn Bynes up until at least June of this year.
The actress is said to be “doing well” under the care of her mother, and a judge ruled yesterday that the arrangement will continue until a new hearing on June 23.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, her attorney David Esquibias explained: “I am glad the arrangement is continuing. The legal process is working in Amanda’s favour. She’s doing well.”
This comes a few weeks after it was decided Amanda would not be charged with the offence of driving under the influence (DUI).
Arrested in the early hours of September 28 of last year (2014) the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office have opted to not press charges “after much deliberation and review”, with her case now being forwarded to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office as a possible violation of probation.
Amanda was also charged with DUI in April of 2012 after hitting a police car in West Hollywood, but February 2014 saw the charge dropped when she was sentenced to three years of probation for reckless driving as part of a plea deal.
Her licence was restored last April following three months of alcohol education classes as part of her plea deal.
Amanda Bynes was one of my favorite actresses growing up and I hope once the conservatorship is over and she’s allowed to fly solo again, she’ll keep on the straight and narrow.
