Page Six reports that an insider from ABC says that Bruce will sit down with Sawyer for the exclusive interview. The insider also confirmed that the special will air in May and will start filming this week. But the question is, why the sudden change?

Originally, Bruce planned to shoot a documentary series with E!, as reported by US Weekly, which seems to be the no brainer move considering the network airs his family’s hit reality series “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” so he already has that relationship with the network over the many years of filming.

It has been reported that the sudden change of heart has caused some friction or “internal consternation” as  BuzzFeed reported, with NBC considering NBCUniversal is the owner of E! Maybe this was a start for Bruce to break free from his past as he transitions into a new beginning?

Kim Kardashian had this to say about her stepfather and his new found journey:

“I think everyone goes through things in life and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right. I feel like that’s his journey to talk about.”

According to Kim, his children and stepchildren are extremely supportive of Bruce’s decision to make this transition in his life. Ex-wife Kris Jenner has yet to speak on the situation.
